Andrea Korte is the senior communications strategist for AAAS' Center for STEMM Education and Workforce. She splits her time evenly between leading communications strategy and implementation for the STEMM Opportunity Alliance and providing centralized communications strategy and expertise for the remainder of CSEW's portfolio of initiatives. Among her responsibilities for SOA is strategizing and creating content across SOA's communications platforms, including social media, newsletter and STEMMOpportunity.org. She also manages partnerships with SOA communications-focused participants and collaborates on projects that advance SOA goals, promote community and connection among SOA partners, and enable partners' communications and storytelling functions.

Previously, Andrea held roles as digital manager and writer in AAAS' Office of Communications, where she led AAAS' newswriting efforts and focused on AAAS.org content and strategy. She also edited and managed the News and Notes section of Science magazine. Prior to joining AAAS, she was an editor and writer at the Nuclear Energy Institute. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English from The George Washington University.
